6 More Pencils To UAE Agencies As The One Show Concludes

The One Club for Creativity has awarded all winners for the 44th Annual One Show including in the remaining categories of cross-platform, film, intellectual property, interactive, mobile, radio, social influencer marketing, social media and UX/UI.

There were 243 Pencils awarded in all including 70 Gold, 75 Silver and 98 Bronze – to winners from 23 countries. Overall, there were 21,844 entries from 73 countries.

UAE agencies have won six more Pencils in the remaining categories including three Bronze and three Silvers. UAE agencies also have an additional five Merits awarded to their entries.

Of the Pencils, DDB Dubai has won two Silver Pencils for Henkel’s ‘Love At First Wash’. Memac Ogilvy has won a Silver for Nestle Middle East’ ‘Tummyfish’.

Impact BBDO has won two Bronze Pencils for Johnson & Johnson’s ‘Sweet Dreams’. And TBWA\Raad has won a Bronze for Go Sport’s entry ‘Champion’s Hijack’.

As the awards draws to a close, The One Club also announced the Special Awards for the One Show 2017.

Omnicom was awarded Holding Company of the Year. The top five include Omnicom Group, WPP, Interpublic Group, Publicis and Dentsu in that order.

The One Show awarded Best of Show to ‘The Refugee Nation’ for Amnesty International by Ogilvy/New York. “In a year rife with political discord and social upheaval all around the world, ‘The Refugee Nation’ is a prime example of how our industry can both reflect and influence our culture. Evocative in its design and versatile in its application, ‘The Refugee Nation’ won Best of Design and Best of Cross-Platform before going on to win Best of Show,” said Kevin Swanepoel, CEO of The One Club for Creativity.

The Network of the Year was awarded to Ogilvy & Mather. The top-ranked networks include Ogilvy Group, BBDO Worldwide, McCann Worldgroup, Leo Burnett Worldwide and TBWA Worldwide.
