Starz Play Signs Partnership With LG Smart TVs

Starz Play and LG have partnered to embed the video streaming application directly onto LG Smart TVs. Following the launch, select LG Smart TV models in the Middle East & North Africa (MENA) have been updated with the Starz Play application, allowing subscribers to access Starz Play’s content.

“Our partnership with LG confirms our on-going efforts to continually increase our customers’ satisfaction. With smart TVs being one of our viewers’ favorite streaming devices, our collaboration with such a leading brand brings us closer to our customers and helps us improve their viewing experience,” commented Danny Bates, CCO and Co-Founder of Starz Play.

The companies dub the partnership as a step to provide the “next level of home entertainment”.

“We look forward to working with LG and offering the convenience to watch blockbuster movies, series and documentaries at any time on their big screens, with completely uninterrupted and ad-free content,” Mr Bates added.

Starz Play releases the majority of its content in line with US release dates including the likes of ‘Vikings’, ‘Knightfall’, ‘Power’ and ‘Taboo’. The service also features the complete seasons of TV series such as ‘Friends’, ‘House’ and ‘Lost’.
